Hello world! This is Shannon Sanazaro Barron, owner and designer at Curly Willow. I am so happy to be coming to you with extensive expertise and much love in all aspects of floral design. I’ve never been happier to come to work in this beautiful shop. Every day is a blessing to be able to create for you.
I opened my doors in January 2023, and I’m loving it!
The first shop I worked for was right here in my hometown of Cuba, Mo. My boss, Connie was reluctant to hire, but I eventually made her love me. Connie and The Wildflower was the beginning of a life long love of flowers.
I’ve worked in Albuquerque (Peoples Florist), Los Angeles (Conroy’s Flowers), and St. Louis (WalterKnoll Florist and Beli Fiori). I began freelance design for events in 2010. After about 30 years in the business, I’ve settled my dream shop right back where I started.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from St. Louis University and went on to try my hand at the bright lights of Los Angeles. Though there are no Oscar’s or Emmy’s on my shelf, you may have seen me in the occasional commercial or music video!
My priorities quickly changed when I knew it was time to extend my family and bring into the world my best two creations! Two beautiful children, an amazing husband and my dream job. Life can’t get better than that! So, here I am, back home and beyond blessed. I love seeing all our local friends and meeting all the passers by. I hope to see you soon.
